I love my boyfriend so much, every time we argue he walks out. What should i do?

This morning i got frustrated while i was getting ready to leave so i told him to wait in the car...i know it may have come out rudely but i was mad because i was trying to pack and he was rushing me and smoking rather than helping me. He walked out and turned off his phone. i found him at a gas station near my apartment. Pulled up got out of my car and pretty much made myself look pathetic (or desperate). he refused to get into my car because he was waiting for his friend to come get him. because apparently "he doesn't need me". At first i was like "fine i don't want to be with you if you're always going to act like this" but that is a lie. i am crazy about him. Now, just like every fight we have, i feel like its my fault. What do you think i should do?
