New Jersey Shotgun legality?

Well I'm still here and I've been hunting deer with an Ithaca for years and carrying a full load of 6 for deer. I answered a question and said plug to 3 for small game and waterfowl. Got an e-mail telling me only three for deer too. Now I don;t know what to believe. But your gun is legal. 3 for small game and waterfowl,what for deer,not sure. Maybe somebody will tell where that is written.I could not find it on line. When I go to Harrys I will get a regulations booklet. When I go to Pa.to the gun shows one dealer kids me oh you live in the "Police state". Our laws aren't funny. Its legal to buy in Pa.and the fees are less,in case you didn't know.
