It was my birthday today. My boyfriend never acknowledges my birthday. Am I wrong to be upset?

It is 4th march. it is big day for me. It is my birthday today and it is evening now. My boyfriend doest care much about my birthday. He would never send me any flowers or even give me a birthday card on time. He never tries to make me happy on this day. I never expect much from him on valentine's day or anything of that sort, but I told him several times that my birthday is very important to me and want to feel special this one day in year. I am very upset and do not feel like talking to him today. I know he never goes that extra mile to make it a good day for me. I am very sad. I wait for this day whole year and it is gone like this......I just want to rush into my bed and sleep till this day is over.
