How to plan for a JOP Wedding?

My fiance and I are getting married in March with a ceremony later. He's in the military and it's difficult for us to be together right now which is why were doing a larger ceremony later after he's got another location set up. I need ideas on how to make this moment special v. being in a courthouse. Ive considered us doing this at lakeside but - do we need a grand entrance? Will we just walk up together... should we have some sort of lunch or something to follow? What should I wear? How can I make it super sweet for us. This will be our "REAL" wedding date and I want it to be just as memorable as a large ceremony with our family. (I think I asked more than one question) haha. Sorry...
