With the economy in horrible shape as it is, whatever happened to being able to live "free"?

Think about it. When money didn't exist, there was hardly any drama or homicides. But when paper money and coins were generated, violence, greediness, jealousy, famine, and unequal lives were created. Why is that? I am certainly in a severe financial crisis myself. I believe that, as hard-working individuals, no one is getting paid fairly in this world. So, why worry about money at all? If you really think about it, ALL of the essential goods we need in life were here when we were first brought into this world. In other words, our meat comes from the animals that roam this planet. Our vegetables come from plants that grow from the soil which we stand on. All these things in life have always been free until people started putting a price tag on them. There are geniuses out there who know the formula to create medications to help the sick. If we all just wanted to make a difference in someone's life, why not do it for free, out of kindness, out of the goodness of your heart? Why?
