Should I get a rabbit or a sugar glider?

I want a pet that is gentle that I can carry with me everywhere. They will be more like a companion than a pet. I'm a very affectionate person so I love to cuddle & love on my pet. I also want a pet that will develop a strong bond to me. I've heard that sugar gliders do this, but I'm not sure about a rabbit. Any advise is appreciated.
