Sore/swollen throat now feels a little congested in the chest?

I awoke on Friday and discovered what felt like a lump in my throat. Determined my Lymphnodes were swollen so my body must be fighting off an infection or something. I have had this for 4 days now and the throat swelling seems to be turning into a bronchial congestion of some sort. I am not coughing up blood, green or discolored phlegm or anything, just aches and seems to have me somewhat tired. I know people will say I need to go to a doctor to get it checked, but that is the problem, Doctor's in L.A. are nothing but Pharmaceutical Prostitutes and don't bother finding the problem or even listening to you, they just prescribe the medication of the month that will line their wallets. I know this from experience. Can anyone help or is anyone experiencing the same type symptoms down here in L.A.?
