Question about getting my hair relaxed?

Now I I have a couple of questions about this. First, I don't have hair or curly hair. I have CURLY hair. What would that look like with the most mild relaxation? How often would I have to get it relaxed? Now, before you tell me not to do it, with my tell you I look FUGLY with my curly hair. I absolutely hate it. Right now, I am probably going to have more damage to it straightening then if I was to have it relaxed. It annoys the crap out of me. i REALLY want it relaxed.
