I want to find the name of the song with the lyrics: "it's alright it's alright, I'm gonna be late tonight"

The song as far as I recall had the following lyrics; "It's alright, it's alright, I'm gonna be late tonight, gonna be late tonight on the island?" It also had a part that said something about "reading a paperback novel by candlelight" I beleive the song is from the late sixties to the mid seventies.
